This Rising
Generation.
TRG (This Rising Generation) is our youth work for secondary-school students (ages 11–18). It’s a thriving community where young people can find belonging, build friendships, and grow in faith.
With gatherings at weekends and midweek, TRG creates a positive environment where young people are encouraged to step out with confidence, discover their purpose, and develop the kind of resilience that will serve them well in every area of life.
Every meet-up is designed to be relevant, engaging, and supportive, whether that’s through creative sessions, inspiring worship, or simply spending time together. TRG is a place where the next generation can grow in faith and character, and flourish in who they are becoming.

Visiting for the First Time
I’m new to church — can I visit on Sundays?
Absolutely! Whether you’re exploring faith, returning after a break, or just curious, you’ll find a warm, relaxed, and pressure-free environment. Everything is explained clearly and you’ll never be put on the spot. Take things at your own pace.
Do I have to be a Christian to come?
Not at all. Many people who visit are exploring faith. You’re welcome to belong before you believe.
Will I feel awkward?
We get it — visiting a church can feel a little daunting. That’s why we go out of our way to create a safe, welcoming and “cringe-free” atmosphere. There’s no pressure and no spotlight — we’ll just be glad you’re with us.
Do I need to dress a certain way?
Not at all. There’s no dress code. Some people come casual, others more smart. Just come as you are and you’ll fit right in.
How many people usually attend?
Hundreds of people join us each week. We’re a diverse, vibrant community of all ages and backgrounds.

Stick around! We serve free tea, coffee and refreshments in our spacious social area — a great way to meet people and make friends. If you fancy lunch, there are a wide variety of popular restaurants within a short walk from the church.
What if I miss a Sunday?
You can catch up anytime through our podcast and YouTube channel.
Getting Here & Accessibility
Is parking free on Sundays?
Yes. Parking onsite is free on Sunday mornings for those attending church. We have around 60 parking spaces on site, plus there’s loads of off-street parking too. Accessible parking spaces are also available. For mid-week services and events, parking is free after 6pm subject to registering your car reg on the iPad system at reception.
What if the car park is full?
There’s free on-street parking within a few minutes’ walk. Multi-storey options like The Beehive and The Rushes are also nearby.
How do I get there by bus or train?
• Bus: The main stop (“Beacon Bingo”) is right outside our doors. • Train: Loughborough Station is a 10-minute walk from the church.
Is the church wheelchair accessible?
Yes. We have step-free access, a ramp at the entrance, flat floors throughout, a dedicated wheelchair area in the main hall, and multiple accessible toilets.
What if English isn’t my first language?
No problem. Our community is wonderfully diverse. Our team are happy to help make services easy to follow.
Kids, Youth & Families
Do you have Kids Church?
Yes! Kids Church runs during the Sunday service for children aged 1 and over. Registration opens at 9am at a dedicated check-in point, and our DBS-checked team will welcome you.
What do kids do during the service?
Kids enjoy their own safe, vibrant programme — worship, games, Bible teaching and fun activities designed to help them grow in faith and confidence.
When does Kids Church end?
At the same time as the main service. Parents and carers collect children promptly afterwards.
What if my child needs me during the service?
You’ll be given a discreet buzzer at check-in. If your child needs you, it will quietly alert you.
Is there a space for babies and toddlers under 1?
Yes. We provide a comfortable parents’ lounge with a livestream of the service, baby changing facilities, and space to feed or play.
Do you have a youth programme for teenagers?
Yes. Secondary school students have a dedicated youth programme during the service, run by our brilliant youth team.
How do you ensure children’s safety?
All our kids and youth workers are fully DBS-checked, our spaces are secure, and our registration systems are designed with safety in mind. For more information on safeguarding, visit: https://junctionchurch.net/safeguarding/
Getting Involved
Do you talk about money in services?
Yes, briefly — but never in a pressurising way. Everything we do (kids and youth programmes, community outreach, events, building upkeep) is funded by generosity. Giving is entirely voluntary and can be done online or in person.
What happens midweek?
Plenty! We run worship nights, prayer gatherings, life groups, Bible studies, Alpha courses, stay & play for little ones, youth events, community outreach and more.
Do you offer courses like Alpha for people exploring faith?
Yes, regularly. Alpha is a safe and open space to ask questions and explore Christianity.
What is the next step after visiting a few times?
We encourage people to join a life group, get involved in serving, or try Alpha. It’s the best way to build relationships and grow in faith.
Can I serve in church?
Yes! There are loads of opportunities — from kids, youth, welcome and hospitality to worship, tech and production. Serving is one of the best ways to make friends and feel part of the family.
Can I invite friends and family?
Absolutely. Everyone is welcome — we love seeing new people.
Giving & Support
How can I give online?
It’s simple — just head to our website giving page or use our app. Every pound goes into supporting church life, from kids & youth to outreach and building costs.
What does my giving support?
Kids Church, youth work, Alpha, stay & play sessions, community outreach, soup kitchens, leadership development, and all our day-to-day church operations.
